Director Gabriel Kipling Tyner's bio:
I was born in Gainesville Florida. I made my first movie when I was ten years old with a VHS recorder and some friends. While growing up, I was always taking pictures and video whenever I could get my hands on the medium. In high school, I learned how to edit on a non-linear system. Then I started making my own movies and documentaries.
I was first introduced to Black and White 35mm in college and eventually ended up with several photo exhibitions. Later on I became a well known artist in the area known for my signature Black and White Infrared photos.
I graduated from the University of Florida with a 3.7. GPA. At UF, I received a degree in Anthropology with a minor in Classics and Latin American Studies. Anthropology, the study of human beings, has become an integral part of my movie career. After all, things like culture, dialogue, and human interaction are very important to the script writing process.
After graduating from college, I traveled all over Mexico to photograph and video the temples and pyramids there. After returning to the states, I decided to start his own production company based on my experience as a videographer and my obsession with making movies.
In 2007, I got a job as an associate producer at a local news station and after a month was promoted to director. As a live news director, I learned to think quick on my feet and work well in a team environment. Also, at the station I produced several shows for TV including one on self defense, budget weddings, and a talent show. During my time at TV20, the ratings for the morning show “Morning Edition” improved significantly.
I have produced several documentaries and one film. Our documentary “Chiefland” will be playing at the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival. Also, it recently screened opening night at The Indie Grits Film Festival in Columbia, South Carolina. For more information on Chiefland go to chieflandthemovie.com.
We just finished a reality TV pilot called “Five Angry Ninjas” and we just finished a script for a sci-fi thriller called “Tesla’s Coil.”
I like meeting people who are both challenging and engaging in order for me to better myself as a human being. For more video on promos, films, and documentaries please go to our website at filmsbygt.com "We make gold from copper." talktogabriel@gmail.com (352) 246-7848
