Gwenn Joyaux (Chacabuco, 1985) holds a degree in Audiovisual Communications from Fine Arts University, UNLP. At present, she is working on her thesis for her Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema, Video and TV, and for her Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Production, in the same institution.
Between 2004 and 2007 she was an assistant in the Chair of Scriptwriting Craft and Techniques at the IUNA, and in the Chair of Cinema and Video III, Scriptwriting II and Audiovisual Production I and II at the UNLP where she carried out multimedia research.
She holded a scholarship from the Peter Van Tilburg Fonds Talent Program since 2003 until 2007.
In the year 2006 she received a scholarship in the Telefonica Argentina Foundation for an Interactive Art Workshop.
She was selected for the 2º Talent Campus Buenos Aires organized by the Berlinale Talent Campus in collaboration with 9º BAFICI in 2007.
In 2008 she was collaborator at the Interactivos?08’ in Medialab-Prado Madrid, Spain.
She have shot the short movies “Haiku” -2003-, which won the Popular Jury Award in the 1º Panorama Latinoamericano de Cinema Universitario in Sao Pablo, Brazil; “Conquista” (Conquest) -2005-, which won the 1st Mention Award in the 1º FICIFF in La Plata; “A” -2005-, which won the 1st Prize in the 64 Film Festival 2.0 in Buenos Aires;“Fénix” (Phoenix) -2005-, which won the Editing Mention Award in the 4º Festival de Cine y Video Latinoamericano in Buenos Aires and the micro video “six secondes autour de moi”-2008- which is in the permanent collection of the International Contemporary Art Center CAM_Museum in Italy.
Her “ashes” short movie project was recently selected by the Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales (INCAA) as a winner for the annual contest Historias Breves.
She teaches Multimedian Technology at the UNLP
