Himpunan Belia Islam (HBI) or also known as the Muslim Youth Assembly, is an organization that started in 1972 and is concentrated towards the propagation of the Ahlul Bayt school of thought. It has members who consist mainly of the Malay/Muslim community and we serve the needs of the Shia community which includes the Iranians, Arabs, Pakistanis, Indians, Chinese and Africans in Singapore.


HBI operates from 2 centers: Imam Bargha and Husainiyah Az-Zahra.


These centers are more than just a place of worship. It plays a multi-faceted role and serves as a focal point for religious activities, a place to congregate and socialize, an education center for our children and youths and a place for non-Shia members to come and learn about Shiism.
