After moving to New Mexico in 1995, Martin Heinrich went straight into Community Organizing. He has been deeply entrenched in New Mexico politics since his arrival. He worked hard to pass ObamaCare and voted for the Cap and Trade Energy Tax even when his own constituents vehemently opposed it. Famously stating that unemployment benefits were an economic stimulus, Martin has created an environment that shaped New Mexico’s unemployment rate. Martin is a champion for his special interest groups and large “progressive” donors. Martin will stand up for our public employee unions to assure that they continue to get pay and benefits far outpacing their private sector counter parts.

As one of only a handful of members of Congress that worked as an Engineer for a WHOLE YEAR, Martin brings a unique perspective to career politics. Martin’s focus on furthering his political ambitions made him a constant and reliable vote for Nancy Pelosi. When convenient, Martin has been an outdoorsman, an environmentalist, an engineer, a chicken herder and many other pandering characters. Martin’s most important achievement however was being named 2009's most beautiful person on Capitol Hill by The Hill newspaper.
