Helen Rödel (27) believes that wearing garments can be transcendent. She brings craftsmanship techniques from the past into the future, with an updated look, resulting in delicate, innovative and valuable creations.

"The proposition is to provide a new view to this ancient and widespread techniques in Brazil. A tremendous challenge", Helen prides. Helen explains the processes: "I’m instinctive, restless, curious and almost dissatisfied. Something like not being able to stay in our own skin due to eagerness. 'Do it Yourself' has been the spirit of things from the beginning. But sharing art with people who crave it, is transforming". The result is an auctorial production that does not follow trends. "I see the brand as I see myself. My beliefs are imprinted on everything I consider beautiful. My fashion has universal virtues - I’m human and there are no boundaries. The flow between rural and urban is also crystalline. I live in the city, but we I’m natural, I need fields and forests".

Being inventive, maintaining the values (believing in her own choices) is also a victory for the fashion designer. "Think back on Brazil when everything was still wild. As I am of german ancestry, I'm quite familiar with the stories of the very first immigrants to arrive here, who were swallowed up the jungle and by the vast emptiness. They cleared patches of the dense wood and built cities. That’s how I see the work of independent fashion in Brazil, strong backs, focused minds and sacred hearts".
