VIDEO ARCHIVE OF CONTEMPORARY POETRY IN PERFORMANCE
My name is Henry Stead. I'm a researcher, translator and playwright. In 2008 I founded London Poetry Systems - the cross-media poetry platform - and I'm interested in capturing poetry in performance and archiving poems that use digital technologies in cool ways. My background is in Classics and I continue to work in that field. My doctorate was in Classical Reception and English Poetry. I also write for different kinds of performance and more recently have been translating Classical plays for the stage (e.g. Seneca's Medea and (Pseudo-)Aeschylus' Prometheus Bound).
