Thanks for the kind words! I unfortunately can't record a video over something that I know nothing about. I'd hate to take a short look and give you terribly terribly wrong information.

My videos tend to be more about the way I've done things for a good while. That said.. I'm super unsatisfied with where this one ended. I was going to refactor the form code to post in a different way so that the messages worked without flashdata but the time ran far too long. I end up recording these as a single take in whatever small amount of time that I can afford between doing project work.

Soon I'll wrap this series up with #7 and then I'll start focusing on something new.

Yea, the documentation leaves a bit to be desired. You basically need to go to their site and just use the Wiki. The Forum there is good for questions not covered in the wiki. I think that they really expect you to have some ORM experience already, which is unfortunate.

I can't really comment much on what it has over netbeans. Because, to me Netbeans is very ugly and just plain unpleasant to use. I came from Zend Studio to NuSphere PHPed to ST2. I feel like they're all better than Netbeans.

As far as free.. Yea, I don't know. I've gotten really used to paying for software and then writing it off on my taxes. I mean.. I do this stuff every day. I need to make sure that my work environment is as optimized as possible.

That's my 2 cents. I wish I could give you something more.. empirical. But, in the end.. if you REALLY love Netbeans then I can see no reason to stop using it.
