It was during his time studying at The Osaka University of Art when his VJ career flourished; and subsequently, after a fateful meeting at the 1998 Burning Man cultural festival, he decided to start his career under the moniker of Betaland with artist COLO.

Now more than ten years down the line, his rainbow-colored light and cozmic-love-vision has been emitting through the Japanese underground party scene.

As solo artist HiraLion he produces a dynamic live show, but its through his collaboration with other artists, art spaces and audiences that he is able to photosynthesize a natural energy and hysteria in the club environment.

On top of this, BetaLand has created a completely new and original VJ synthesizing technology. "Elementalism" is a concept device that translates the natural oscillations of water, sounds and other vibrations into light art.

The device is able to syncro-energise the club's atmosphere, on the fly.

At this very moment, this artist is creating visual dialogue with his audiences and shining a progressive flood of hope into today's light-art scene.

In recent times, he has channeled his efforts into Osaka nightlife and his 'Light Body' visual art installations. Both projects injecting high energy and a certain element of surrealism to his field. This artist seemingly pulls influence from the furthest reaches of the galaxy, while keeping his feet firmly on Kansai soil.

Among his long list of clients, he has produced PVs for EgoWrappin, OOIOO, Furukawa Miki, EXPE, and TENGAKU.

His recent work, ’vISION oF dREAMS' , which was accompanied with music by DJ YOGURT was released last year.

He is also the mastermind of the FLOWER OF LIFE party. This party, which he has been curating since 2002, is a club experience that takes you into the artists ultra-real paradise.
