Dr. Karagozoglu, Professor of Finance, is the Academic Director of the Martin B. Greenberg Trading Room at Frank G. Zarb School of Business. More information about the facility can be found at hofstra.edu/tradingroom.
Dr. Karagozoglu was selected as the Distinguished Teacher of the Year in 2009 and received the Dean's Service Award for 2007 and Research Award for 2000 in the Frank G. Zarb School of Business.
Dr. Karagozoglu's primary research interests are in the area of futures markets, option pricing, credit risk, market microstructure, interest rate derivatives and risk management.
Prior to coming to Hofstra University, Dr. Karagozoglu taught full-time at Baruch College both at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Dr. Karagozoglu received his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Bogazici University, Istanbul Turkey. He received his M.B.A from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. He earned an M.Phil. and a Ph.D. in finance at Baruch College of the City University of New York, where he received the Oscar Lasdon Best Dissertation Award.
