Fred Thomas Jr.
Fred Thomas Jr. is an alumnus of Lincoln University, where he received his Bachelors in Journalism before attending Temple University and receiving his Masters of Film and Media Arts with concentrations in writing, directing and cinematography. His credits and achievements include being a founder of Temple University’s Black Media Collective.
To date, Thomas has directed fourteen short films, including last year’s Casting Blues, Kai and Fabulous, as well as several music videos. He recently received a write up in The Hollywood Reporter regarding the screenplay Vah Humbug!, a romantic comedy that he wrote. Most recently, he has produced segments for the television shows Weekend Vibe and BET’s Rap City, as well as directed an installment of The Spirit of Comedy for Third Day Entertainment. He is currently in production with an online comedy series that he writes entitled Redhook and Brownsville, and is in post-production on Illtown, a sitcom pilot that he created and directed. He just wrapped on Will Smith's Men in Black 3 working on the production team for Overbrook Entertainment.
