Ish is a seventeen-year-old native of Brooklyn, New York. He is currently a graduating senior at Benjamin Banneker Academy and will be attending Pratt Institute in the fall. He aspires to be one of the greatest artists of his generation (and perhaps the one after), capturing the world’s imagination through digital arts, poetry, film, and music. Aside from the arts, Ish greatly enjoys eating cookies, video games, thinking quietly and out loud, and is currently fascinated with hippies.

Among the list of future goals, Ish wants to build a number of high schools in his native hometown of Brooklyn that are strictly dedicated to the arts. He wants students to have more resources and a more focused environment than he did. Additionally, Ishmael plans to live in Japan for a few years while traveling to other parts of the world to gain inspiration for his art. The list is expanded daily, and truly, Ish is simply a kid with enormous dreams and high ambition to make them come true.
