Paul Shoemaker commented on Email Digest "Wanna make some new friends?" error

Hey guys, You may already be aware but there seemed to have been an issue with the September 4th, 2008 email. I have a screenshot if you're interested but the "Wanna make some new friends?" area of the email shows a foreach php error (my absolute favorite errors btw). It states as follows ( is simply a placeholder): is now a contact of Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/production/vimeo/views/vimeo.view.email.digest_foafs_html.php on line 18. Let me know if you want the screenshot. Paul

Paul Shoemaker commented on Comments in digest email links to a private video

This is more of a ux issue than anything, but this video http://vimeo.com/1622189 was linked in my email from a comment that a "friend" made. I'm not sure if the video was made private after the email was sent (date of email August 28th, 2008) at which point, it would be out of your control. However, if this is not the case, can you please not include comments made by mutual connections that link to private videos? Keep up the great work! Paul

Paul Shoemaker commented on tough artistic call

perhaps relegated was the wrong term to use? i did not mean it to imply that a piece such as this be thrown to a trash bin of sorts. i, personally, agree with your assessment that this should be allowed on vimeo based on its merits as an artistic piece. employer's recommendations of down-time activities not withstanding, i do advocate for a tag such as nsfw (or something a bit more generalized) to denote potentially offensive material. let me be clear about one thing in particular. i will never advocate for the censorship of art and am of the mind to allow full freedom of expression wherever such freedoms may take a society both positively or negatively (which, of course, is a rather relative concept in and of itself). hopefully this clears things up in the areas where my initial post did not.
