Iemi Hernandez-Kim started as a filmmaker in the Emmy-winning Downtown Community Television Center. Since then, her short films have premiered in the HBO International Latino Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, and the Asian American International Film Festival, among others.
In 2008, the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts awarded her as one of the best young filmmakers in New York-- her co-director was the other recipient.
She recently graduated from New York University as a film/tv major in the Tisch School of the Arts. Since then, she's been working in New York City as a freelance editor and animator.
