Jonathan Baldwin helps make 24/7 worship and prayer a reality at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri (IHOP-KC) as an intercessory missionary. For the past seven years he has served on the Nightwatch leading, singing and praying from midnight until six a.m. six days a week. He regularly sings or leads worship on the television show, “The Prayer Room” on the GOD TV television network and also streaming live on the web cast at ThePrayerRoom.tv.
Jonathan responded to an invitation from TheCall co-founder Lou Engle to serve as an intercessory worship leader and go to Colorado Springs, Colorado for 24/7 worship and prayer. Along with 50 other young adults, Jonathan prayed for 50 consecutive days for each of the nation’s 50 states and their needs. The events that followed increased Jonathan’s desire to pray passionately for justice and life for the unborn.
These 50 days led Jonathan and Lou Engle’s young team of intercessory missionaries on a spiritual sojourn across the country, during the final weeks of the 2004 presidential election year. By the time the group left Colorado Springs it had grown to 70. Their journey culminated with a Silent Prayer Siege in Washington DC. The group prayed for 31 days in front of the United States Supreme Court with red tape over their mouths and the word LIFE written on it.
Jonathan also helped to establish the Justice House of Prayer (JHOP) in Washington DC where prayer continues on Capitol Hill today. During the 21 days before the elections of 2004, he led the Nightwatch from midnight to six am at JHOP. Situated on the 2nd floor of an office building, JHOP pointed like an arrow,in those beginning days, at the Supreme Court, the U.S. Capital, and the White House.
Jonathan leads regular prayer for the government during the Nightwatch at IHOP-KC and is serving on the leadership team of Bound4LIFE KC, praying in front of abortion clinics for LIFE. He is now working on his new CD "Voiceless". God gave him the words for that title song while praying in front of the Supreme Court. Many of the songs Jonathan has written for this effort come from the depths of his worship experiences as he prays, meditates on and studies the Scriptures. This CD will also contain several of the original songs he has written about God’s desire to end abortion. 
Jonathan preaches and leads people into the presence of God at churches and houses of prayer all over the world. Jonathan’s heartfelt message encompasses intercession, justice and experiencing intimacy with the Lord. He deeply desires to see night and day prayer, with people crying out for Jesus’ return, raised up in the cities of the earth.
