User Bio

Multi-disciplinary visual artist, and thus, self-taught creative & whimsical photographer based in Portugal, Ikai Zixie (aka Sílvia Dias) is recently graduated on Fine Arts & Intermedia.

She has started her artistic path back in 2001 with acrylic painting and drawing - those being her major passions. In 2009 she came across photography in her 2nd year at university and embraced that new artistic method with all her strenght. Being self-taught when it comes to photography, Sílvia tries to learn and improve more each time she developes a project. She also prefers working with natural/day light when shooting.

With passion for colors, light, movement and nonsense, story-telling situations, she has influences on Man Ray, Salvador Dalí, Helmut Newton, Egon Schiele, Lucian Freud..., and many other contemporary artists & artistic eras.

She comes from a humble family and her dream is to help her parents back, as much or even more as they did to her.

She works with painting, photography and video.
