The Inno4 project emerged from a group of lecturers, designers and researchers at Singapore Polytechnic (SP) who all share the same passion: tackling the challenge of enhancing health and long term care (LTC) for the ageing population in Singapore.
With the ultimate goal to improve quality of life for seniors, the Inno4 project focuses on understanding the hopes, dreams, motivations, challenges and pain points of seniors and those that play a significant role in influencing their health and wellbeing. We conduct in-depth interviews and research with seniors’ families, caregivers, doctors, therapists and extended care teams. We apply design principles to uncover unmet needs of these groups, and develop concepts that address these needs in a meaningful way. This approach to problem solving has been proven successful in driving healthcare innovation globally, and we are thrilled to be practicing this method of thinking and doing for the Inno4 project at SP.
