THE BAND:
Insula Dulcamara is a Napoli (Italy) based band, which's been making its own music with a do-it-yourself attitude since 2001. We released 4 EPs under cc license and recorded original songs for several compilations.
A Little Manifesto:
*Insula Dulcamara makes music. It makes it all the time and has been making it for a long time.
*Insula Dulcamara writes and sings its own music.
*Insula Dulcamara uses ancient sounds with new attitudes and ancient attitudes with new sounds.
*Insula Dulcamara believes in “Do-It-Yourself” and in self organizations.
*Insula Dulcamara believes in the free circulation of music and learnings.
Those who’d like to approach it, are required to do it just like they would to a collage: amused but not too much. Then the rest is not to be explained...if you have ears to listen, that’s enough.
