The Independent Race Series (iRace) is an Australian motor racing series, operating independently to bring competitors affordable, exciting and accessible racing. The series visits Queensland Raceway, Morgan Park and Eastern Creek in 2012.
As part of the iRace team, I am leading the production of video from each round, documenting the drivers, cars and action of the series. We use a Panasonic TM900 and Sony NEX-5N for external footage, and for onboard footage we primarily use the Drift HD170 Stealth (supplemented by a couple of GoPros and some of the teams own cameras). Editing is done in Final Cut Pro X.
We're a small team, with a small footprint and budget, but we couldn't do it without the support of Acuform, Blue Hills Farm, Austbrokers Coast to Coast and Drift HD Australia.
