環境エネルギー政策研究所（ISEP：Institute for Sustainable Energy Policies）は、持続可能なエネルギー政策の実現を目的とする、政府や産業界から独立した第三者機関です。地球温暖化対策やエネルギー問題に取り組む環境活動家や専門家によって設立されました。

自然エネルギーや省エネルギーの推進のための国政への政策提言、地方自治体へのアドバイス、そして国際会議やシンポジウムの主催など、幅広い分野で活動を行っています。また、欧米、アジアの各国とのネットワーキングを活用した、海外情報の紹介、人的交流など、日本の窓口としての役割も果たしています。
市民ファンドを活用した市民風車、太陽光発電事業なども発案しています。

Institute for Sustainable Energy Policies (ISEP) is an independent, non-profit research organization, founded in 2000 by energy experts and climate change campaigners. Through our work we aim to provide resources and services to realize sustainable energy policies. Main areas of our activities include promotion of renewable energy, improvement of energy efficiency, and restructuring energy market.

We engage ourselves in a wide range of programs and activities by providing policy recommendations with regard to renewable energy and energy efficiency to the Japanese government, guidance and advice to local municipalities, conducting events such as international conference and symposium. We also closely liase with many organizations in Europe, the United States and Asia to promote exchange/introduce updated information on sustainable energy policies. In addition, we have implemented community winds and solar power projects through Citizens' Fund and various partners.
