iSrilankan is a communizine or a digital community magazine for Srilankans both in Sri Lanka and living all over the world. Contributions range from oral histories and documentaries on socio-political issues to humour, rants and raves of Sri Lankans, pet peeves, good political select blogs and even fiction shared by Sri Lankan authors. The content is not complete and much work remains to be done. Yet, it is diverse, oomphy and loves to celebrate continually without waiting for a better day the evolving collage of srilankanness. Insightful. Independent. Inclusive.
iSrilankan is an initiative by Gaya Fernando who was born and raised Srilankan and now lives in Europe. She has two children and between another job as a legal editor, pairing socks and cleaning out the karapincha from the bottom of the stainless steel sink stained by too many cups of PG Tips tea she creates content and encourages others in theirs.
