Director - Rocky@thegobigproject.com
Rocky is an action sports athlete turned multiple award winning Writer/Producer/Director with over twenty short films, and three feature films to his credit. He has produced live webcasts, viral campaigns, iTV videos & shows, and feature films. His work has been featured on top action sport websites, premiered and won at International Film Festivals, and has received critical acclaim. He is a recognized leader within the iTV forum, founding the trans-media company, iTVbranding.com, in 2011.

Rocky began his filming career in 2005 producing "Gapers Gone Wild", a ski and snowboard film. The film was proclaimed as an underground cult classic and hailed as a new standard in ski/snowboard films. In 2010 Rocky’s film "Ride A Wave" was an official selection of the 2010 X-Dance Film Festival (the Academy Awards of action sports films); the Audience Award Winner for best short documentary at the 2010 Santa Cruz Film Festival; received the Best Emerging Artist award at the 2010 My Hero Film Festival in the category of Humanitarian Filmmaking; selected as the Humanitarian Film of the Year at the 2010 California Film Awards; and is an official selection of the 2011 Wild & Scenic Film Festival & Festival Tour. With his recent success of “RUFFO”, a feature length documentary on professional surfer Anthony Ruffo, Rocky has expanded his portfolio to new heights. He is continually re-defining “independent” filmmaking with his ability to achieve industry level results.

In 2006 Rocky founded The Go Big Project Inc., an action sports production company based out of Lake Tahoe & Santa Cruz California. He is also the creator and owner of thegobigproject.com, a cutting edge action sports lifestyle website that launched in 2010. He and his companies have been featured on HBO, ABC, NBC, ESPN, The London Guardian, RSN, The NY Times, Transworld Surf, USA Today, Surfline, San Francisco Chronicle, Santa Cruz Sentinel, San Jose Mercury, Reno Gazette, and many more.

The Go Big Project and iTVbranding.com support several non-profit organizations including The Make A Wish Foundation, Ride A Wave, Lightfoot Industries, and The Santa Cruz Film Festival. In 2011, after completing his latest feature film “RUFFO”, Rocky helped create the concept for Clean Up The Line Up, a 501c3 charitable organization dedicated to providing drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and life skills training to current and former professional action sports athletes.
