Intelligent Use of Water Contest

It’s once again time to step behind the lens in the name of water conservation. We’r excited to announce the 2009 Intelligent Use of Water Film™ Competition is now accepting entries. In its third year, this annual competition has helped recognize talented filmmakers nationwide, while promoting smart water use.

GUIDELINES
Create a short film, 1-10 minutes in length, focused on responsible water use. Narrative, documentary, animated, experimental and/or student-made productions should explore methods and ideas to manage and utilize earth’s most precious resource more responsibly.
JUDGING
A panel of judges with academic, professional, industrial or governmental expertise in film and/or water conservation will review your ideas. For the 2008 competition, finalists will be selected and invited to a screening event on October 11, 2008, in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden. Following the screening, winners will be announced and cash prizes of $6,000 for the Jury Award and $3,000 for the Audience Choice Award will be awarded.
