Jacques Burtin Plus
Composer, writer and filmmaker.
Jacques Burtin plays piano, kora and gravi-kora (electric kora) : solo concerts, duets with Western and Eastern intruments, multimedia concerts. He conceives shows involving music, poetry, visual arts and dance.
He is also a film writer, director and producer (experimental films, documentaries on contemporary artists).
His music was featured among the works of twelve composers from around the world in «Sonic Channels», a concert hosted by The New School University Media Studies Department and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council on may 12th, 2006.
He currently leads seminars on Improvisation and Interdisciplinary Creation at the Fine Arts School of the Basque University (Bilbao, Spain).
His last film, "Le Dialogue des Ombres" ("The Dialogue Of Shadows"), will be screened at the Festival de Cannes, 2012 (Short Film Corner).
