Jake Naughton
Jake Naughton is a photographer and multimedia journalist based out of Washington, DC. Check out his work here: jakenaughton.com. He is interested in journalism (and its bright, shiny future), contextual news, new media, multimedia, citizen journalism, Africa (specifically East), socially motivated and human rights interested journalism, mobile tech, coffee and music. To that end, he is currently interning with the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting.
He also works as the Media and Technology Director for Kibera Girls Soccer Academy, the only free, all-girls high school in the Kibera slum of Nairobi, Kenya. Check out kiberagirlssocceracademy.org for more info.
He is conversational in Spanish and Swahili.
He also loves emails, and feeling the Internet love: tweet him @jakenaughton. Please comment, or email with any questions or comments or concerns you may have. He is happy to assuage horrible fears regarding the end of times (which is not imminent), share a trivial or banal story about his daily life or regale you with tales of his younger, wilder years. He is now 22.
