James Masz
James Masz is an interdisciplinary new media-based artist who currently resides in Kelowna. Alumni of UBC Okanagan's Fine Arts Program in Visual Arts, James works primarily with appropriation, printmaking, animation, public art and offbeat processes. Also a self-taught musician of 21 years, James incorporates his own soundtracks and embraces free software not only as a practical but real concept in his life. The spirit of sharing, the breaking of traditional concepts with ownership and fair use, as well as an anarchistic/DIY approach to his artworks.
