In 2007, Jarrett Lee Conaway wrote and directed Anthem, a sci-fi fable about two explorers who discover a time-capsule buried by the refugees of a nuclear war. The short film propelled Jarrett to nation-wide exposure when he was chosen by Steven Spielberg, from a pool of 12,000 filmmakers, to participate in the FOX reality competition "On the Lot".

For his MFA at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, Jarrett wrote and directed "TURBO", starring Justin Chon (Twilight), Jocko Sims (Crash "the series") and internet superstar David Lehre (Epic Movie). The film tells the story of teenagers who compete in a futuristic fighting videogame for a chance at fame and corporate sponsorship. The short was an instant hit online and received rave reviews from many sites including: MTV News, Gizmodo and Ain't it Cool News.

In December of 2009, TURBO received the Golden Circle Award for Outstanding Student Film from the Caucus Foundation and Jarrett was presented with the prestigious Panavision New Filmmakers Grant. Soon after, The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation awarded TURBO the 1st place College Television Award for Outstanding Children's Program. After premiering Turbo, Jarrett signed with managers Ray Miller & David Server of Archetype where he is represented for film and television.

In 2010, as part of Film Independent's Project: Involve fellowship, Jarrett wrote and directed the Vanity Fair / Banana Republic sponsored short film "Foolishly Seeking True Love" starring Angela Sarafyan. "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" executive producer Georges Bermann saw the film and quickly signed Jarrett to his commercial & music video company Partizan as a director.

Recently, Jarrett directed the horror comedy “BITE ME”; the first live action web-series produced by Machinima.com and co-sponsored by Capcom. BITE ME follows three friends who use their knowledge of videogames to fend off the zombie apocalypse.
