I have been instructing hitters for more than 8 years and work with ages 10 to current collegiate players. Additionally, i have more than a dozen past students currently hitting at the D1 level. I take a 3 prong approach to teaching.

1. Fundamentals & Mechanics - I use strategies to give players the necessary motor skill development to have the major-league swing. This is done through video analysis and drills.

2. Mental Mechanics - Discussions and strategies to be successful as a player in game situations. Much of my background at UT is derived from Sports Psychology.

3. Decision Making & Timing Strategies - Probably the single most important element to hitting successfully at any level is timing. We look at both visual cues and vision tracking for timing along with discussions on how decision making effects timing. There are many drills I use to help with these concepts.

THE FASTPITCH SWING
One of the most frequently asked questions is "What hitting style do you teach?" The easiest explanation is through visual examples. We model our swings and techniques, based off what we ACTUALLY SEE the elite hitters in the world do utilizing the RVP approach to both mechanics and terminology.
