Julian Cicone is an independent filmmaker from the state of Ohio. Born in Columbus, Ohio and raised in Dublin, Ohio, Julian has been involved in the art of filmmaking since the age of 13, making short films with his friends. Today Julian has built a name and resume for himself. Producing and directing many award winning films, Julian has been involved in multiple film festivals and has won awards in many. His work has been submitted into The Wexner Center of the Arts to be displayed and showcased. Julian specializes in directing, writing, producing and editing, but focuses mostly on directing and writing.

Julian has created his own unique style. He dabbles with every genre while still leaving his own unique style within each genre. His style goes beyond narrative, and has produced and directed numerous projects such as commercials, documentaries and music videos.

When it comes to filmmaking, Julian focuses on originality over commercialism. His belief is that you can't market a film until the film is done and that focusing on what one thinks will earn the most money is a big mistake that will "stifle creativity". Instead Julian focuses on creativity and originality and taking a good script and turning a good script into a great movie and from there marketing will take its place.

Julian focuses on making films that will make him happy and that he thinks will make the audience happy. Creating a unique vision that stands out on its own and creating not only a great story but a great story that is told by beautiful visuals is part of Julian's style. Julian is a film buff with an encyclopedia knowledge of films and his knowledge and love for films help influence his stories visually. Studying every aspect of film and the different techniques, whether it's through editing, lighting, or through the lens of the camera, every Julian Cicone film is different.

As a director, he is keen on getting everything done the best way possible, and he pushes the actors and crew to go above and beyond their potential. He strives for excellence and is not afraid of taking risks and being unconventional. Julian believes in having fun but getting serious at the same time. Julian thinks having fun allows people to get out of their comfort zone and break out which he believes helps the actors and the crew members go above and beyond their own expectations. He believes in getting the job done and getting it done right that will ultimately make everyone happy and improve everyone's talents.

Julian eats and sleeps filmmaking and thinks about it every day. He enjoys every aspect of it, even if it's challenging and loves rising up to challenging situations. Julian loves going through the entire process of making a film and seeing the product unfold before his eyes. Julian loves meeting and working with new filmmakers and talent. He loves his friends and family and thanks them all for their support.
