Jeanie Finlay is an artist and film-maker who makes documentary works for the cinema, broadcast and gallery.

Her work includes feature documentary Goth Cruise for the Independent Film Channel (USA,75 min) which became the most downloaded title ever on IFC and her film Teenland (BBC4 60 min) was broadcast to critical acclaim, award winning interactive documentary Home-Maker and short film Love Takes.

Jeanie was named a “Star of Tomorrow” in Screen International’s prestigious yearly review of new filmmakers, is a director of Nottingham’s flagship cinema and media centre, Broadway and is one of six regional advisors for Artists taking the lead, for the cultural Olympiad.

In 2008 she set up Glimmer Films and is currently in co-production on a new feature documentary with Met Film for BBC Scotland – The Great Hip Hop Hoax, as well as a large scale video artwork entitled Please, please, please let me get what I want with curator Jennie Syson.
