She holds a MA in Choreography from Rhodes University, and an
MSc in Media Art & Imaging – Screendance from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, University of Dundee, Scotland. She facilitates screendance workshops internationall.
Ginslov facilitates directs, shoots and edits her own screendance works that centre around Affect, the moving body and its digital materiality. Her Screendance works have been screened at the BBC Big Screens Outdoors UK, Danish Film Institute DK, Edinburgh Festival UK, British Film Institute, Lincoln Centre NY, Red Cat Theatre LA and at many Sreendance festivals around the globe. Her most recent dance video, commissioned by the Danish Dance Theatre, Autopsy | Eros “la petite mort”, has been screened internationally at ten different screendance festivals. In April 2012 she was in Kigali, Rwanda facilitating Screendance workshops at the Ishyo Arts Centre and was in Los Angeles, California where she conducted MoveStream interviews with Screendance makers for Dance Camera West 2012. At present she is working in Cape Town, South Africa, where she is Director for Screendance Africa (Pty) Ltd, as well as conducting more research on Augmented Reality and Screendance.
Most recently she was Artist in Residence at MEDEA, Malmö University, in Sweden, collaborating with Susan Kozel on the augmented reality Screendance work DansAR 01& 02 and AffeXity. During 2013 she will be giving Screendance workshops at the School of Dance, University of Cape Town and Rhodes University has invited her to participate in a six month residency, where she will continue her AR research and Screendance, with an outcome in a performative relational dance project.
She lectures and facilitate Screendance workshops internationally: The Skolen for Moderne Dans Copenhagen, GIPCA University of Cape Town, Wisconsin University USA, Rhodes University Grahamstown, University of Dance and Circus Stockholm Sweden and Dansehallerne Copenhagen.
