Jenny Rocha is a dancer/performing artist, choreographer, costume designer and teacher. As choreographer and artistic director of her company, Rocha Dance Theater, Jenny has created over 50 works and 10 evening-length productions since 2001. RDT's work ranges from contemporary dance to vaudeville inspired dance. Her choreography has been presented by numerous venues in New York City such as Danspace Project, Joyce Soho, LaMama ETC, Galapagos Art Space, 92nd Street Y and more. Currently, Jenny is a resident artist at Galapagos Art Space in DUMBO Brooklyn where her vaudeville dance group "Jenny Rocha & Her Painted Ladies" performs weekly as part of their "Floating Kabarette". As an artist, she is dedicated to creating provocative dance that is both artistic and entertaining, with a wide appeal to general audiences. As a teaching artist, she has taught at West Virginia University, ACDFA at Connecticut College, Roger Williams University (2001-2010) and currently NYC’s Dance New Amsterdam.
