Jeremy Vandermeij
I was born and raised in Toronto. I studied Architectural Technology at George Brown College and a proud graduate of the Interior Design program at the Ryerson University, where I received many awards for my work. Shortly after graduating I began working for my primary environmental design client Roundabout Studio Inc. where I enjoyed responsibilities in all aspects of the design process.

In my spare time my pals and I from Ryerson founded This Is: Art and Design Cult; a large collective of artists and designers that collaborate on installations throughout the city. Since then, we’ve created several public space installations and participated in exhibitions such as The Gladstone’s Come Up To My Room and Studio Junction’s Art In The Courtyard House.

Similar in spirit to This Is, in 2008 with a close knit group of artists and designers I founded PDA (Public Displays of Affection); a multidisciplinary design and art studio. Together we’ve tackled urban+industrial+graphic design and public art installations. Currently, we are working with Parkdale Activity Recreation Centre to furnish their 30 unit alternative housing project.
