Alexander Wolfe Plus
Alex Wolfe has just finished the documentary Semi-toasted, about coffee farmers in Puerto Rico struggling to protect their farms. Alex Wolfe’s first documentary feature, Santo Domingo Blues, won the Audience Award at the Trieste Latin American Film Festival and played at over 25 festivals worldwide. It was broadcast on the PBS/LPB series Voces in the United States and distributed on DVD by Image Entertainment after a limited theatrical run in New York. He has shot, produced and directed many television productions, including two episodes of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (Travel Channel), The Farm (BBC Wales), a segment of the 2001 New York Emmy winning Off The Charts, Trovador, and Bachatero! (WNET). He is currently in post-production on “Harlem Christmas”, a documentary about Québécois Christmas tree vendors in Harlem. Alex grew up in Central Puerto Rico, in the shadow of the mountain they call The Sleeping Giant.
