“Passion, Focus, Strength…STYX” Some kids received an Atari for their 13th Birthday in the 1980s; “Jimmy” received a stage! Mr. Vignato has been schooled for "musical theater/voice" and has starred in dozens of local and regional Broadway Musicals over a twenty-year span thus tweaking his stage performance and vocal style to date. From his teen years through today, he has performed in many different cover bands continuously throughout his career. In doing so, Jim’s male masterful voice matured into a strong, versatile sound that truly is one of a kind. Presently Jim is a Hi-Tenor and can easily blend Broadway legit style with a hard rock voice for an all around edge that gives him great versatility when approaching any project. All in all Jim has a very unique tone that stands out when amongst other gifted vocalists. Jim is a professional at controlling his vibrato, blending and harmonizing his voice and can hit and hold notes much longer than very few other male vocalists can. As Dennis DeYoung, Jim has an uncanny ability to totally assume the role and antics of rock's greatest icon complete with his dead on physical appearance and on-stage mannerisms. Jim has a deep appreciation of Dennis DeYoung and Tommy Shaw’s musical phenomenon and is truly excited about the success of their New York Tribute Show (“Rockin the Paradise”) to the greatest band in the world, Styx. Jim has also starred in an episode of HIGH SCHOOL STORIES on MTV in 2008; Co-fronted the band "HI DEF" an "AGENCY" represented cover band, performing old and new powerful Rock-n-Roll. Jim also hosted and was the MC for the BRAVO tour across the U.S.A., where he performed Sam Harris's (Star Search) Version of "Over the Rainbow" and received "standing ovations" nightly at 19 cites over the course of three months.
