Thanks Joe. Yes, the SD90 has a powerfuld zoom while still offering wide angle. I know it's a camcorder and I still think camcorders are best for video, even though it's tempting to go for a compact like the Sony HX9V which produces impressive video. You

Yes, they are all at "iA" or "Smart Auto" movie mode and the highest resolution and frame rates. SD90 is a camcorder. It's supposed to be better at video recording. The video quality is still grimy under extreme low light. I love the crazy zoom of SD90
