John started out as a jazz trumpeter and got into video with a noir audio piece adapted for the web in 1999 - Life at Night.
Life at Night was nominated at Cannes2001. John has received support from the NEA, The McKnight and Jerome Foundations and has taught both music and video at the college level.

Although he begged his oldest sons not to enter the arts and music scene and encouraged them to become capitalist lords they have ignored his advise and are musicians, sound engineers and web people.

John has two more kids now that he is attempting to mold into attorneys, physicians and/or Nobel scientists.

I always thought premiere was more stabile than FCP- I have developed more respect for adobe as a software company than for apple, although AE8 doesn't really cut it on a PPC so I mostly find myself back in 7.1
