Originally from Denver, Colorado, Jonas Mayabb migrated to Los Angeles in 1997. Working as a young actor and production assistant he eventually ended up at Art Center College of Design. He graduated Art Center as valedictorian and walked away with a degree in film.
The payoffs came as Jonas earned two Clio awards, a National Gold Addy, the Gold and Silver Young Director Awards at Cannes and an Emmy in just two years. He won both Non-European Film School and CFP-E/Shots in 2007. Add to this three Telly’s, the ADC (Art Directors Club) award and won Best of Category for I.D. (The International Design Magazine) in the student design review awards. Mayabbs work on Global Warming entitled “Blowing Smoke’ was shown at the United Nations and is still shown at the Lincoln Center.
