Hi to everyone in the vimeo world. If you don't know me I'm Jon a TV Arts student at University of Plymouth. I've done many videos and already have lots of experience shooting weddings, events, promos, sports etc.

I've worked/work with several companies including the BBC, Torbay Council, Devon County Council, Paignton Zoo, 24/7 Magazine and the University of Plymouth. Along with several individuals for other projects.

Other info about me, I've got work experience at TwoFour Production in the summer, I do wedding videography if anyone is interested, I'm an expert at Sony Vegas Pro and also good at Photoshop and Dreamweaver.

As for equipment I own a Sony HVR-Z5 along with a Libec LS38 tripod and Sennhieser wireless mic kit. I also own a Canon 550D with several lenses and a Sony HDR-SR11 Hard Drive Camcorder

    Actually it is 1920x816 for 1080p footage

    Hi

    Pretty simple, easier than other NLE anyway.

    If your working with 1080 footage like I was change the settings to 1920x815. Make sure the pixel aspect ratio is 1 not 1.66 or whatever.

    Then use the pan and crop tools to zoom in. If you use the Track pan and crop you can adjust them all in one go the use the video ones to move the image up and down.

    Then when rendering to 720p mp4 change the settings to 1280x544 as you described, once again with pixel aspect ratio of 1.
