Bio:

Jonathan Salvo is an award winning filmmaker who got his start almost by accident. While in high school, he shot and cut his first piece deck to deck and it was this project that ultimately landed him his first film award; Outstanding Work in TV Studio/Production.

Next, he enrolled at Massachusetts College of Art where he shot numerous narrative short films, music videos, and a feature, which took him all over New England, New York City, and Los Angeles before completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film/Video.

Recently Jonathan began shooting documentaries, TV pilots, promos, and commercials with clients including General Mills / Yoplait, Zipcar, New Balance, and The Webby Awards. Recent achievements and news include the short film he shot, 'The Unknown,' winning the Indie Soul Special Recognition Award for its world premiere at the 2009 Boston International Film Festival (to an almost sold-out AMC Loews audience), 1st AC & DIT on RED short 'Working Proof,' the Boston 1st AC & DIT for Lifetime TV features 'At Risk' and 'The Front,' shot an international special effects heavy spot, and is in pre-production to shoot the indie feature film 'Certainly Never' in Boston.

Now as a freelance cinematographer and still photographer, Jonathan is having a blast traveling whenever he can for work and pleasure and collaborating with passionate directors as he interprets their visions for screens of all sizes.
