Born and raised in Texas, my video career began in the early 80’s when, at just 11 years old, I began volunteering in the media ministry at my local church. This is where I first got the ‘video bug’ and started producing projects for the youth department. These projects were generally highlight videos from summer camps, weekend all-nighters and whatever else I could put down on tape.
Word about my work started getting around town and I began producing videos for local high school sports departments. At this time, video was new to high school sports, as slideshows were the norm. Since my work was so unique, I quickly took over production of all of the major high school athletic events in town.
With a major university in town, my work quickly changed to those athletics teams and this migrated to where, at the age of 18, I was producing a sports show that was seen on Fox Sports Southwest. With the typical sports show at the time consisting of nothing but coaches gabbing about the past game, our show mixed fast-paced, music-driven highlights with interviews, delivering a refreshing change from what viewers had seen in the past. Our show, with no advertising, quickly shot to number one in our time slot and my work in broadcast television began.
At the Age of 31, after years of working with everything from local commercials to network news, I got married and moved to Knoxville, Tennessee. Thus, began my push into the world of national network television. In my time here, I have put my 20+ years of experience to work for clients like Discovery Channel, A&E, Fine Living and other television networks.
