J.P. Sipilä (b. 1981) is a Finnish poet and video artist. His works has been screened around the world. Sipilä’s works are usually seen as videopoems, poems written in video.
“The essential questions, for me at least, is how to make poetry with video and sound that are not mere reflections or illustrations of certain poems. How the image and sound becomes “poetry” in a poem on screen?”, Sipilä says and continues, “For me the screen is the paper of my poetry.”
At the moment Sipilä is working with a videopoem installation.
