Julia is a American/British artist who made a few films for the BBC and Channel Four in London before studying fine art at Goldsmiths College in London, painting full time since she graduated in 1999. Meeting Maia Helles four years ago compelled her to pick up her camera again in 2011, with ‘My Friend Maia’ which she shot on mini dv and edited in i movie. Her friend Lola Perrin composed the music track 'Whole Numbers' (i-tunes). She moved back to London in September, after 7 years in NYC (see the film "7 years", 2013) and is editing her next film, about a family of farmers, set in Long Island, New York. It will be ready by June 2013..
