Filmmaker/philosopher Jason Wade Hammonds has a PhD in Media and Communications from the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland. There, he has studied with notable filmmakers Elia Suleiman, Atom Egoyan and Claire Denis, and contemporary philosphers Alain Badiou, Slavoj Zizek and Giorgio Agamben, all of international fame. In New York, he studies directing and acting with Wynn Handman, founder of The American Place Theater.
