My name is Jason Young. I am a STEADICAM Operator, Key Grip Specialist, Cinematographer and overall Media Solutions Architect. I received a full scholarship to the Art Academy of Cincinnati where I study Fine Art and Digital Media in 1993 which serves as the underlining foundation to my artistic and creative approach in video and media acquisition. While my specialties include STEADICAM Ultra2 and Cinematography, I am also well versed in all current technology and software platforms specifically in the area of production and workflow optimization. My camera knowledge and experience ranges from ARRI Alexa, Sony EX series, RED ONE, RED Epic and all Canon D-SLR systems to name a few.
In addition to my professional experience in video production, I also have over 12 years of professional experience in management and media rich web design. Over the past 5 years, I have worked with various software companies as a Digital Media Specialist and have led teams of software specialists and developers in creating robust media asset management systems (D.A.M.) for enterprise clients around the world. Utilizing open source technology as the backbone structure of my software solutions, I have successfully redirected the focus of several companies to embrace the fast-growing world of file-based media workflows.
