KATA was founded by Nitzan Kimchi and Dror Tishler who started sewing bags together in the 80’s out of a tiny basement. As demand grew so did Kata, which shortly evolved from a small R&D laboratory to a multinational company that develops, manufactures and markets video and photo products in over a hundred countries around the world and is considered a leader of innovation and design in its field.

Since 2005 KATA is part of the VITEC Group Plc.
