Kathy is a visual artist using animation, collaboration, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography and film in her professional practice.
She has been ‘Artist in residence’ at The Leitrim Sculpture Centre and is Co-founder of Print Studio LSC in Manorhamilton.
She has exhibited nationally and internationally and her work is in private and public collections.
She won a competition with ‘The Peace Project’, The Whole 9, exhibiting her work in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco with the procedes going to Serra Leone, 2012 and 2010.

She examines colour, form, and line, which become abstract, often sculptural layers.
These layers help her to metaphorically conceptualise ideas and create reflections on the ever‐changing world of culture, society and technology.
By utilizing the abstract space between her body and the environment to create a unique perspective and pliable structure for intuition and opportunity.
These have become methods for navigating the blurry terrain of memory and imagination, reflecting her view point of the world.
Kathy traces and retraces, drawing from O.S. maps and retraces paths through them. Mapping serves as a metaphor for searching, an implication of the unknown in wide, open spaces, paralleled with her personal confines, exploring these spaces in her research methodologies.
