KC Trommer
KC Trommer is a New York City-based poet and collage artist. A 2007 graduate of the MFA program at The University of Michigan, KC was the recipient of the Academy of American Poets Prize and won awards for her plays and screenplays. She has won fellowships from the Vermont Studio Center, the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and the Prague Summer Program. Her poems have appeared in AGNI Online, The Antioch Review, Coconut, MARGIE, Octopus, The Sycamore Review and are forthcoming from textsound and a number of other journals. She is currently seeking a publisher for her first collection of poems, Puncture, and is at work on her second collection.
Her collage work has been featured in group and solo shows in Ann Arbor and New York City. Though primarily self-taught, KC has studied collage and painting at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and New York’s School for Visual Arts and Parsons. She lives in Queens with her husband, the writer Justin Courter.
