Kelli didn't start her secondary studies pursuing a degree in film. In 2007, she began her studies at Anderson University (SC) playing on scholarship for the AU Trojans Women's Soccer team. She played her Freshman year but became a redshirt sophomore due to a season ending injury. After spending 2 1/2 years in the south, Kelli moved back home to Colorado and discovered her desire to pursue a career in film.
From 2010 to 2011, Kelli attended CU Denver learning the techniques of filmmaking. However she transferred to CU Boulder in order to study and analyze film history and theory. In December 2013, Kelli graduated cum laude from CU Boulder with a BA in Film Studies. Her thesis: The Anthropomorphization of Houses in Film was recently published by CU Honors Journal 2014 edition! Starting in September of 2014, Kelli will be moving up to Toronto pursuing a Masters degree in Film Studies at the University of Toronto! She hopes to write and get involved with the film festival industry.
