Williams joined the U.S. Air Force in 2003 and was sent to Camp Darby in Livorno, Italy. In 2004, he took first place in a base talent show for performing original music. By late 2005, Kenny formed a working relationship with Italian engineer Maurizio Sera. From 2007 to 2009, Dubb was stationed in Japan and produced hip-hop for local acts. His artist routinely opened for major American acts that performed in Tokyo and Okinawa to include; Game, E-40, Soulja Boy, Hurricane Chris and others. In 2010, Kenny Williams and fellow entrepreneur Kenjuan Simon founded their production label Outta Step, LLC. Dubb secured Flint, Michigan rapper Amos as the small label's first signee. Williams now resides in Los Angeles and produces music independently. His influences include; Bob Marley, Dr. Dre, No I.D, and Pete Rock.
