A native New Yorker, Ken has directed and choreographed throughout the United States and Great Britain. His credits includes: West Side Story, My Fair Lady, Evita, The Will Rogers Follies (John Schneider), Cabaret, Five Guys Named Moe, Ain’t Misbehavin', My One and Only, Stepping Out and Pump Boys and Dinettes at notable venues as TUTS, Kansas City Starlight, Music Theatre of Wichita, Santa Barbara Civic, The Lyric Theatre of OK, and The Candlewood, The Gateway, The Ogunquit and The Cape Cod Playhouses, Queen’s Theatre in Greater London. He jump-started is directing career by producing, directing and choreographing a benefit performance of the musical Seesaw; which was also the show’s West End premiere. Other choreographic credits includes co-choreographing for Rosie O’Donnell’s first Tony Award telecast and as assistant choreographer for David Merrick’s Broadway production of Oh, Kay! ( Brian Stokes Mitchell.) Ken also served as dance assistant for the multi-Tony awarded Tommy Tune’s Broadway projects Easter Parade (Sandy Duncan) and My One and Only (Twiggy;) as well as resident choreographer for the London production of Grand Hotel (Brent Barrett.) Most recently, Ken directed a new play, The Front Desk at the Rauh Theatre in Pittsburgh and Lessons of Love, a musical revue, at the York Theatre.

As a performer, Ken landed in 6 Broadway musicals, 4 London’s West End shows, 3 Hollywood films including Spike Lee’s Malcolm X and the movie musical The Pirates of Penzance (Kevin Klein.) throughout his career and have been seen in several television specials and commercials.

Academically, Ken has been sharing his knowledge of theatre and dance with students at well-known academic institutions: first as Adjunct Professor at University of Michigan, then as an Assistant Professor in musical theatre and dance at the University of Oklahoma and recently as an Associate Professor in the School of Drama at the much lauded university, Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh. Currently he is teaching for Marymount Manhattan College in NYC and The University of the Arts in Philadelphia.

American Conservatory Academy in San Francisco, the H-B Studios in NYC and Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London are several of the institutions where he has studied acting/directing.


As a performer, Ken has been seen in 6 Broadway and 4 West End musicals, several television specials and film His various theatrical studies include directing and acting at the American Conservatory Academy in San Francisco, H-B Studios in NYC and RADA in London.
